There are Two main Intakes in Australia for international students

  • February Intake
  • July Intake
  1. February intake is the Primary (main) Intake in Australia, and as the name suggests it starts in February, the secondary intake falls in July. Like most of the countries,  the Primary intake will have the most number of the courses offered by almost every University.
  2. The July intake will have limited number of Universities offering limited number of courses to choose from. These two are major intakes in Australia.
  3. There are other intakes like September and November intake in Australia, too, with even fewer courses. Vocational Courses have the intakes for January, May or July, depending upon the course and University.

English Language Tests Required to Study in Australia

International students are expected to have a minimum

  • IELTS score of 6.0-6.5
  • TOFEL score of 90
  • PTE score of 72
  • CAE score of 60-79

A higher score on any of these exams will add value to the candidate’s profile. International entrance scores largely depend on the institution. For instance, applicants seeking admission to MBA Australia are expected to demonstrate a GMAT score of 550 or above with relevant work experience for admission. The score requirements for more selective institutions are generally above 600. While preparing for entrance exams to study in Australia, candidates must check the average score requirements for their choice of institution and program and aim for higher scores.
